Diamond Optical has used an internal, custom database system created in File maker to manage all of their client accounts.
In 2011, they expanded to several locations and required shared access to the client records. Rather than setting up an internal VPN and a centralized server, they chose to convert their database to a secure online application.
This system scales to any number of store locations and allows them to monitor staff updates to client records.
The existing Filemaker client still connects and functions as before (no need to retrain long term staff). New staff simply access data using their Web browser.
